Welcome to Apsco Labels

We thank you for taking the time to consider us for your pressure sensitive labeling needs.

Welcome to Apsco Labels. As a family owned and operated company since 1973 we believe that good personal relations and unyielding attention to every detail are highly important to creating a good solid business. After 35 years of operating we have also found that these things are imperative to growth and prosperity. This is why at Apsco Labels we take pride in making sure that you, the customer and friend of our company, receive the personal and detailed attention you require in making your final product all it can be.

Apsco Labels began in 1973 when our first generation of printers, Bill Van Cott, purchased a two color flexo press, the "Sohn" model 7000. He began printing return address labels for family and friends as a bit of a hobby out of his small basement. Shortly thereafter he was selling labels to small local businesses in his area, a small town called Perkasie, PA. At this time, Bill´s son, 25 year old Ed Van Cott, our second generation printer, unknowingly would years later train to run this press and move the business to New England. This is where he purchased another "Sohn" model 7000 and a three color flexo press, the "Mark-Andy" 830. Combined with the original "Sohn", and the two new presses, Ed began to take on bigger jobs with bigger more reputable clientele.

In 1987 he moved the business and his wife and kids to Macungie, PA, where he continued to serve those clients and acquire more. The operation all ran out of his garage. Quickly, Apsco grew out of the garage and he moved three miles away to its present home, a 3500 sq.ft. manufacturing and warehouse at 621 long St. in Emmaus, PA. While all this was happening, Ed had been an air traffic controller at the Allentown Airport now known as L.V. International.

By 1995, with Bill retired, Apsco had grown to be bigger than just one man, who had limited time after his days and/or nights at the airport, could handle. So Ed trained our third generation printer, his son, Andrew Van Cott, to run the presses and fill in when Ed couldn´t be there. By 2001 it became apparent that it was one or the other so Ed retired from the FAA and he and his son put full time attention into the business.

Since then, Apsco Labels has acquired two "Allied" 100 series presses. One a four color and the other set up for slitting and die cutting. In addition, a rewind table and the original "Sohn" presses along with the "Mark-Andy" help us to provide you with the quality product you demand and the attention we pride ourselves in being able to offer. We look forward to great relations with you in the future and hope you come grow with us.
